Aaron Troy Huffer, 54, of Newark, CA, passed away surrounded by family on December 28, 2025.

Aaron was born on February 18, 1971, to his parents, Sharon Kelly and Jerry Huffer. After graduating high school, Aaron worked a plethora of jobs but eventually settled into his career as a Maintenance Coordinator at Iron Mountain. On February 12, 1994, Aaron married the love of his life, Maria Huffer. That same year, Aaron gained the title of “Father” to his late son, Aaron Troy Huffer Jr., and again in 1995, 1997, and 2001 to his children Ryan Aaron Huffer, Alexis Victoria (Huffer) Presley, and Cassandra Jordan Huffer.

Aaron was truly an amazing father. He taught his children how to fight for themselves, stand their ground, not take anyone’s “bullshit” no matter who it was, and how not to rely on anyone else to get things done when we could do them ourselves. Although Aaron was not a very emotional person, he showed his love by always showing up for us in his own ways.

Aaron enjoyed spending time with family, making people laugh, cracking jokes at inappropriate times—to the point where once he started laughing, you could not get him to stop—riding his dirt bikes, spending time with his dog, Roxie, watching Raiders games with his friends, barbecuing, and making his daughters drive to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts to get a dozen glazed doughnuts (specifically when the hot light was on) or take late-night trips to Safeway to stock up on sweet treats, which he would eventually hide in his toolbox so no one else would eat them.

Aaron was preceded in death by his son Aaron Troy Huffer Jr.; his brother-in-law Leonildo Terra Jr.; his sister Chandra Reading; his grandmother Lilian “Bobo” Purdy; his uncle Douglas “Dougie” Purdy; and his father, Jerry Huffer.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Maria Huffer; his children Ryan Aaron Huffer, Alexis Victoria (Huffer) Presley (Gavin Presley), and Cassandra Jordan Huffer; his mother, Sharon Kelly; his brother, Michael Kelly; his nieces and nephew, Victoria Terra, Emma Kelly, and Anthony Terra; and his mother- and father-in-law, Eduardina and Leonildo Terra.
