Obituaries

Born August 29, 1932 in California and entered into rest on July 16, 2014 in Fremont, California at the age of 81. Preceded in death by his wife Nancy Spencer in 2006, brother Joseph Spencer, and sister Millie Archer. Survived by his nieces: Belinda Reagan of Portland, OR, Leslie Rice of Paradise, CA, and Diane Archer of Boulder Creek, CA; his nephew: John Archer of Shanghai, China; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Also survived by his good friends of 56 years Sharon and Alby Prentice and their children, and grandchildren.

Even though Alvin and Nancy never had any children of their own, they always reached out to others' children like they were their own children and grandchildren.

Alvin was a proud union member of plumbers local 467 in San Mateo County. He loved his weekly golf outing and enjoyed reading, traveling, and a good poker game.
