Entered into rest on May 27, 2012 in Manteca at the age of 82. Preceded in death by her husband Manuel Garcia and her son Jose Manuel Garcia. Survived by her sister Amelia Furtado, sister-in-law Lucilia B. Avila, and several nieces and nephews.

Born March 9, 1930 in Azores, Portugal, Ana enjoyed eating especially Portuguese sweet bread, cornbread, and chocolate. She always loved animals especially her dog "Doc".

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, from 5-8pm with a vigil at 7pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 5, 11am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
