Obituary For Angela Martinez Rodriguez

Angela Martinez Rodriguez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Angela was a woman of quiet strength, deep devotion, and unwavering commitment to those she loved.

She was raised in Fremont, California, in the Niles community, where she developed strong family values and lifelong roots. After marrying, Angela made her home in Union City, California, where she continued to build a life centered on family, faith, and hard work.

Angela dedicated 18 years of service to Washington Hospital in Fremont, where she was known for her reliability, compassion, and commitment to caring for others.

She is survived by five of her six children: Joseph Rodriguez (1/20/2021) Fredrick Rodriguez, Belinda Rodriguez, Andrew Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez, and Brenda Chappell. Angela was also the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren and great-grandmother to fourteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and laughter.

In true Angela fashion, she was known for her generosity — especially her ongoing “donations” to Native American tribes at their casinos, a habit she joked was for a good cause and always enjoyed with a smile.

Angela’s legacy lives on through her family, her example of sacrifice, and the love she freely gave. She will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her sense of humor, and the lasting impact she made on all who were blessed to know her.
