Obituaries

Angelina H. Duran, age 84, of Fremont, CA passed away on March 15, 2023. She is survived by her siblings Dahila, Virginia, Tony and Armando. Her children Berlinda, Leonard, Debra and son-in-law Tom. She had 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Proceeding her in heaven is her husband Rudy, parents Joe and Epimenia and her brothers Mike and Joe.

Angelina was born on February 19, 1939 to Joe and Epimenia Hernandez in San Antonio, TX. At an early age she became a migrant worker. Shortly after she started working in a packing house where she met the love of her life Rudy. They got married on October 19, 1958. They were married for 46 years until his passing. Angelina was also a health care worker for 36 years. It was in her nature to always take care of someone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the beach, taking long drives in the country and she loved watching sports like the Warriors games and the Raiders.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 5-8pm with a Vigil Service starting at 6:30pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. A Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Wednesday, March 29 at 11am, 41933 Blacow Rd., Fremont, CA 94538. A burial will follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544.
