Obituaries

Anita was born on November 9, 1950 in Oakland, CA. She entered into rest on July 18, 2018, at the age of 67.

Anita survived by her loving children John “Paul” Stuart (Anke Schwantje), Stacy Nisthal (Cesar). Beloved sister to Louis Zamora, Rudy Zamora and Frances Preston. Predeceased by her husband John E. Stuart, III (7/19/2003) and by her brother Ronnie Zamora. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Anita grew up in the east bay and was a life long bay area resident. She worked as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell for over 20 years and was an active member of Telephone Pioneers, volunteering often for local homeless shelters and non profit organizations. Anita was an avid reader and shared her love of books with her children. She loved to cook and entertain, and was great at throwing family parties. She loved going on family trips to her favorite places including Washington, Hawaii, Mendocino and Disneyland.
