Obituary For Anna Maria Bello
Anna Maria Bello, aged 58, died peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2013 after a long struggle with ovarian cancer. Anna was a devoted Catholic, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Roberto Bello, her three daughters; Susanne Lankford (Jason), Christine Picard (Mike), and Michelle Kalafatis (Steve), and her 4 grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents, Edelia and Armando Pino, and her brother Armando Pino Jr.
Born in Cuba September 28, 1955, she immigrated to the United States of America in 1962. Anna was raised to be a strong-willed, compassionate, and loving person. She met the love of her life, also a Cuban immigrant, as young child and knew from first sight that they would spend a life of happiness together. She married her love, Roberto Bello, and raised 3 girls together. Anna was devoted to her three daughters, helping them with school work, taking them to swim practice, cheer-leading practice, and a number of other activities. She helped her daughters plan their weddings and was present at the birth of all her four grandchildren. She was thrilled when she found out she was going to be a grandmother. Her eldest grandchild?s first word was Abu, short for Abuela. In her time left with her family, she spent it spoiling her grandchildren and family members with love.
Anna?s happiness and strength came from her family and instilled this in her loving children and grandchildren. She lived to please her family members and give them her fullest attention, while instilling her faith and values in them. She will be truly missed, but her family knows that she is at peace in heaven above.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 6:30pm at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 440 La Gonda Way, Danville, CA 94526. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 6, 10:30am at the church. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday at 2pm at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette, CA.
