Tony went home to be with the Lord with his family by his side. Devoted husband to Elsie, his loving wife of 63 years. Together they had 3 children: Anna (Bruce, deceased) Andrade, Pamela (David) Wipprecht, and Tony (Milena) Rago. Loving grandpa to Bobby Accardo, Tony Rago, and Amanda Rago. Predeceased by his parents (Antonio and Anna), his 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
During WWII, as a marine in the 2nd division, Tony saw action in Okinawa, Tarawa, Saipan, and in the occupation of Japan. As a neon sign master craftsman he created many famous signs and was a 66 year member of the IBEW, Local 595. For several years he was the scout master of Troop 168, Hayward. He was a gifted baseball player, but missed his chance to play semi-pro ball due to an injury.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 2, 9am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 37891 2nd St., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery in Hayward, CA. In lieu of flowers, Tony requested donations to the American Red Cross, PO Box 4002018, Des Moines, IA 50340-2018.

My father will always be my hero. He was the most remarkable man I have ever known --so loving, caring, supportive, and giving. He was strong, but had a gentle spirit. "The Lord blessed me richly when he gave me you Daddy. I will love and miss you everyday of my life. But I know one day we'll be together again."
