Obituaries

Bernice E. Meyers was born on February 5, 1930, in Niles, California to John and Ida Santos raised on the family farm. She attended Washington High School and graduated in 1949.

After graduation she was employed by Kimber Farms, her first and only job for over 25 years. At Kimber Farms she met F. Wayne Meyers and married in 1967 they were married for 50 years. Also, at Kimber Farms Bernice met co-worker Joyce Phillips Earl in 1969 and they became lifelong best friends. They enjoyed hiking up to Mission Peak and riding their bikes.

Bernice and Wayne loved to travel, taking 3 months to see the USA. Some-times they would get in the car and just drive somewhere far to get lunch for the day. Bernice raised and sold small birds. She also loved flowers and loved to garden. She enjoyed visiting Reno and the local casinos too. Bernice spent her final years in the company of her dear friends. Bernice was predeceased by her parents and husband.

Bernice will be missed by all of her friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 10am-12pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, Ca. 94536. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 pm. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, Ca. 94536. Burial is at Holy Spirit Catholic Cemetery.
