Obituary For Beverly A. Coffin

Beverly, a Fremont resident for 57 years, passed away in her home from Alzheimer’s on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, while surrounded by family. She was 89 years old.

She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on September 23, 1932, the only daughter to her parents and sister to her 3 brothers. Beverly was married to Merlyn Coffin, whom she loved dearly, for 53 years. They had 3 children. She had a successful career as a Supervisor in the electronics industry.

She is survived by her daughter Jan, son Merlyn Jr. and his wife Deborah, granddaughter Lisa and her husband Greg. Her husband Merlyn, son Mark and her brothers preceded her in death.

Beverly was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend. She also cherished time with her niece Cheryl, Cheryl’s husband Pete, and their son Chris, from the Sacramento area. She loved going up to her mobile home at Lake McClure every weekend, spending quality time with her husband, family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their camper, and then later in life seeing the sites throughout the states with her son and his wife in their motorhome. One of her favorite family trips was an Alaskan cruise. She liked to knit, crochet, embroider, plant flowers and maintain her African violets. She loved to socialize and engage with others. Anyone who encountered Beverly left with a smile, feeling a little bit brighter. She was known for her generosity, sense of humor and forgiving spirit. She overcame adversity with grace and courage and provided a lot of love and stability for her family. She enjoyed going to church and had a strong faith in God. After she retired, she enjoyed going to the senior center for computer classes, and lunch with her friends.

She will be forever loved and greatly missed by her family.

Special thanks to Brookdale Hospice & Meals on Wheels for their support and quality care.
