Obituary For Bonifacio N. Diaz
Bonifacio N. Diaz, 96, of Fremont, California, passed away with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Born in Lingayen, Pangasinan, in the Philippines, he was the son of Maria Navarro and Arcadio Diaz and was the loving husband of Agueda V. Diaz (predeceased). Bonifacio is survived by his daughter, Neda M. Busler (Timothy), son, Michael V. Diaz, and grandchildren, Michaela M. Diaz Jemera (Jefferson), Glendon M. Diaz, Rebecca M. Busler (Kiel), Christina A. Busler, and Marven-Ghael L. Diaz, and Great granddaughter, Zelda M. Busler.
Bonifacio was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fremont. Bonifacio was a true civil servant for his service in the United States Navy for 20 years and the United States Post Office for another 20 years. He was a Korean War and World War II survivor with numerous medals for his courage. His favorite hobbies were traveling with his family to Europe and Asia and liked taking cruises. Bonifacio is known for is artistic guitar flair and dancing when joining in the family parties. Known for his kindness and grace by all he touched, he imparted love to all of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2pm-5pm with a Vigil Service at 3pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 22, 10am at Mission San Jose Church, 43300 Mission Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539. A burial at Irvington Memorial Cemetery in Fremont will follow.
