Obituary For Bradford O. Wright
Bradford Wright, of Union City, passed away on July 21, 2022 at Lake Berryessa. He was 65 years old. Brad is survived by his wife Sheila of Union City, brothers Ken of Fremont and Gary of Hillsboro, OR, daughter Jamie of Fremont, son Jeremy of Essex, CT, stepdaughter Ramona of Tracy, grandchildren Jordynn, John, Jesse, Charlotte, and Julia, and many nieces and nephews. Brad was predeceased by his father Ken and sister Debbie.Born February 16, 1957, Brad grew up in San Jose and attended James Lick High School. He lived in the Bay Area throughout most of his life. From a young age, he learned to work to support himself and provide for his family. Over the past 35 years, Brad had a successful career in the floor covering business and was regarded by his colleagues as hard-working, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Brad was extremely devoted to his family and friends. A generous man, his door was always open for loved ones and his backyard was the place to be for pool parties and barbeques on any occasion. He was loving, funny, great with children, handy, selfless, loyal, and trustworthy. Brad was always there for others, and he gave his time and effort to plan gatherings that brought people together. When you were with Brad, you were family. Brad loved football and was a life-long Raider fan. During the season you could find him keeping an eye on the score, tailgating, hosting a party for the big game, or organizing the office Super Bowl pool. Brad grew up camping, boating, and waterskiing at Lake Berryessa and continued that tradition with his own family. The lake was a special place for the weekend-warrior who worked so tirelessly to afford the special moments that made life worth living: the early morning ski run on glassy water, anchoring the boat for lunch and a mid-afternoon swim, or a game of dominos after dinner under a camp light. His sudden death is a huge loss for those who loved Brad. However, there is some comfort in knowing that he died at the lake, a place he truly loved. Brad was a strong, proud, and good man. He is loved and will be missed by the countless people whose lives he touched. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, August 5, 12:00 pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd, Fremont, CA. He will be laid to rest at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park in Hayward. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society in memory of his sister Debbie.
