Obituary For Bruce Gordon Filena
Bruce Filena entered into heaven on November 21st, 2016 at the age of 83 surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren. He was a man who served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. He loved western movies, and building and flying model airplanes.
He is survived by his daughters: Cindy Soria (Bob), and Brenda Filena (Rich); grandchildren: Yolanda, Rhiannon, Shay, and Patricia; great granddaughters: Jade, Kiana, and Kyra; and his cat Tiger. He is also survived by his siblings: Daniel, John, Darlene, Delphina, and Mary Filena; and step-children: Pam Smith (Gary), Cindy Nuanas (Bob), Roberta Vinson, and Richard Kincaid--along with their children.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years Joan Filena and second wife Annette Filena.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9th, from 4-8pm with a Vigil at 6:30pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 10th, 11am at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 34700 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94555. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

Dad There is a huge void in my heart. I miss you every day. I say I need to call you and I then realize I can't. I hope you and mom are together. I hope you know how much we all love you and miss you. My heart hurts. Love you so much dad. Cindy
