Obituary For Calvin George Oliveira

Entered into rest on February 17, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 90. Beloved husband of 67 years to Beatrice Oliveira. Devoted father to Becky Goularte and her husband Chris. Cherished father-in-law of Debbie Oliveira. Loving grandfather to Gregory Goularte, and Danielle Goularte. Caring uncle to Cheryl, Michelle, and Garna. Preceded in death by his son Gordon, father George, mother Evangeline and sisters Norma and Gloria.

Born October 29, 1922 in Newark, CA, Calvin served as a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II where he completed 35 missions aboard B-17 bombers.

He worked in the plumbing industry in the East Bay for over 30 years and was heavily involved in the St. Vincent de Paul Society, an organization very close to his heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, from 2-5pm with a Vigil at 3pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 25, 10am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Private Family Burial will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

Donations may be made in memory of Calvin to St. Vincent de Paul Society, in care of Holy Spirit Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
