Obituary For Carlos Manuel Silva

Carlos Manuel Silva graced the world with his presence for 41 fabulous years and his life was tragically taken in December 2021.

For those who knew him, even just a little, Carlos was nothing short of a spectacular light. Any room he entered was brightened with huge smiles and bountiful laughter. He danced through life with a boyish charm and cocktail in hand, always spreading joy to everyone he touched. He will forever be a member of the Kids Table and he will always have a seat.

He was an accomplished Fashion Designer with a talent and eye for all things beautiful. He loved juicy gossip, The Golden Girls, a tropical vacation and a well-planned outfit.

Carlos is survived by his Father Jose Eduardo Silva, Sister Michelle Marie Silva, his precious Avo (aka Abuelita) Ana Silva, his Aunts & Uncles Adelia + John Dentoni and Maria + Alfred Vargas, Sister-Cousins Jennifer Sandoval, Stephanie Grippa and Amanda da Rosa — in addition to his puppy Son Maximillian, many extended family and countless friends far and wide. He was greeted on the other side by his loving mother, Maria Lourdes Silva (2017) and his grandfather, Manuel Francisco Silva (2002).

Until we see that smile of yours again, thank you for being a friend.

To my one in a million cousin, I am so saddened that you are no longer physically here. You were supposed to come to Colorado, so your "Colorado Cousin's" could share their world with you. I am grateful we got the time together that we did in September and I will treasure it always. What a fun, spectacular time it was. Any memory that I have of you, always brings a smile to my face. Thanks for always being you, because "You" were a gift to those that knew you. My heart is broken and we are all crushed. I promise to always keep your memory alive and when us cousins get together, there will always be a toast in your honor. Love you and miss you always...

I was so excited and so thrilled to reconnect with you and my other cool, older cousins this past Fall. We had such a good time together. I've always been self conscious of my lack of filter, and mixed with the cocktails that night, I sure did tell you of my love and admiration for you. The next day I was so embarrassed and apologized for having no filter and you reminded me that I'm "never too much". I will love you always and remember you fondly. You surely had a special way of making everyone feel "cool" and special. I am devastated for Michelle, Jen, Steph, and Amanda and would love to support them in whatever way possible. 💕

I only got to know and work with Carlos for 7 months, but he made that short time so fruitful. I was nervous to move across the country and start a new job, and he was one of the first people to make me feel welcome as part of the team. I will forever miss his infectious laugh, his brilliant storytelling, and our chats at each other's desks catching up on the Sex and the City reboot. It was quite literally his job to put color into the world, and he did.

I met Carlos the first time when I was at the lowest point of my life. He helped turn my life around to where I am happy. Was so saddened when I got word of his death last week. May God rest his soul. Good by my friend

My heart goes out to Carlos's family. I hadn't seen him in over 20 years, but we shared elementary school through high school together. Carlos was always himself. So unique. Singing and laughing on the playground. Just a joy to be around. Always into fashion with expensive taste and all things marvelous. I know he will be dearly missed.
