Obituary For Charles J. Adams

He is survived by his mother Amparo Adams, sister Kristina Adams, Godson/Nephew James Espinoza Adams, Brother Richard Adams (Gina), Nephew Bryan Adams (Sarah), Grand Niece Melanie, Niece Jenna Adams, Nephew Mark Adams and former Sister-in-Law Beth Tyree. He is also survived by aunts: Conception (Connie) McDonald, Inez Barrios (Doug), Margaret Costa Concuelo (Connie) Rodriguez, Jean Carter, Petrecia McDowell (Jim). Uncles: Michael Rodriguez (Eva), and John Rodriguez. He also survived by many cousins, friends and loved ones. He preceded in death by his Father James Adams, Grandmother Trine Rodriguez, Grandfather John Rodriguez, Grandmother Lily Mikus, Uncle Frank Rodriguez, Aunt Holly Rodriguez and Cousin Debbie Fullerton.

Charles J. Adams was born on September 17, 1969 to the proud parents Amparo (Ann) Adams and James (Jim) E. Adams. He was a beautiful soul and light to this world. He was loved by all who knew him. He became and Boy Scout of America and achieved the rank of an Eagle of which he received a congratulatory letter from President Reagan for this great milestone. He graduated from Newark Memorial High School in 1988, joined Rotaract at Chabot College where he served as a diplomat. Went on many adventures, sometimes bringing home exchanges students from all over the world. He had a magnetic personality and the ability to draw people in. He went on to join the Army Reserves to further serve his country, which he loved so much. He loved serving his community and was a go-getter. He was a friend to all; was a forgiving person and extremely courageous. He never gave up on anything or anyone. He was amazing dealing with his struggles with MS, no matter how hard things got he had an infectious smile, never complained and never wanted anyone to see his pain. He was true man of honor.

A very special thank you to the Kaiser Fremont Medical Center and the Emergency Department for providing him with the best care. Special recognition to the follow individuals: Dr. Nucum, Jessica Andrade, Dr. Meghani, Kurt Patton, Sam Suchak, Jennifer Hurd, Maricar Manutag, Dr. Sarma, Dr. Abramson, Connie Guillermo-Coronell, Lourence Yulang, Sherwin Bacungan, and the entire emergency staff. Nanette Francisco brought him communion weekly for many years. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Alameda County Fire Department Station 27 who provided constant unwavering support with such compassion to Charles and our family through this journey. They were always there in our hour of need providing us strength, demonstrating integrity and valor and are examples of what true heroes are.

Visitation and Vigil Service will be held on Sunday, April 30, 5-8pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., in Fremont. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 1, 11am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 37891 2nd St. in Fremont. A burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre in Hayward.
