Chi Yan Lee, 86, of San Leandro, California, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. Born on June 13, 1939, in China, Chi Yan built a life rooted in quiet strength, perseverance and commitment to his family.

A devoted husband to Miu Ling Lee and a proud father to Chuck (Wing Sze), Warren, and Wing (Gary), Chi Yan was known for his gentle and kind nature and the happiness he found in being a doting grandfather to Andre, Mia, Emma, Marion, and Alyssa.

Everyone who knows him knows that he had an impressive jade collection and loved gifting them to those he loved. He was a skilled gardener and took pride in sharing his fruits with us. He was fond of his pet birds and fish, telling us that the birds brought joy to the home with their morning songs and the fish brought protection and luck to the family.

“Ah-Ba, you asked for so little, but gave so very much. We love you and miss you every day.”
