Obituary For Cindy McIntosh

Born November 6, 1954 in Salem, MA, and entered into rest on January 8, 2014 in Newark, CA at the age of 59. Devoted mother to Christy Newsom and her husband Eli of Bridgeport, CT. Cherished sister of Patti Ostasiuk and her husband Mark of Newark, Sandy Carstensen of Livermore, and Joanne Sewell and her husband Richard of Fremont. Loving aunt to Michael Carlson, Danny Sewell, Tommy Sewell, Kevan Carstensen, Sean Carstensen, and Kelly Carstensen.

It was Cindy's dream to be a mother, and she dedicated her life to being the most supportive and dedicated mother not just to her daughter Christy, but to her younger sisters, nephews, nieces, and son-in-law. She was a loyal employee to Washington Hospital for 28 years. She was also an avid animal activist and personally saved countless homeless and at-risk cats. She loved theater, music, ballet, and marathons of Law and Order: SVU.

A Memorial Service will be held for Cindy on Saturday, January 11, 10am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Cindy to Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation, P.O.     Beautiful Sister, you know I love you with all my heart! A huge piece of my heart goes with you. So thankful I was there with you until the end and look forward to the time when we're reunited. Give Mom and Dad a big hug from me! I love you so much and will be missing you until we meet again. I LOVE YOU!     I met Cindy and her sister's in June at a Beach Boy concert. It was a short visit but I am grateful for the time we had. My heartfelt condolences to her entire family.

    Cindy was my first Co Producer for The Wizard of Oz at Stage 1 Theatre. Such a sweet quiet woman. I am so sorry to hear this. My condolences to her family and friends.

    We love you Cindy. Thank you for raising such an amazing child. You changed our lives for the better and for that we shall be forever grateful. Christy and family, our love and prayers are with you during this sad chapter in life. What a blessing and honor to have known your mother. Such a beautiful, modest soul with such an enormous heart. She lives within you and she will always be with you.
