Clyde Sylvester Hobbs, passed in his sleep on October 14, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 90. Survived by his wife of 66 years: Edwina Hobbs; his children: Rodney Hobbs, Monty Hobbs, Gwen Luckett, Miles Hobbs, and Darlene Martel; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Born March 15, 1923 in Lavaca, AR, Clyde was a developer and general contractor in Fremont for many decades; leaving a beautiful testimony of his dedicated work, not only in the hundreds of homes he built but also in the lives of his children who all followed in his footsteps in the construction industry. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and easy going style.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Clyde on Saturday, October 26, 2pm at Alder Avenue Baptist Church, 4111 Alder Ave., Fremont, CA 94536. Clyde's final resting place will be at Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca, AR.
