Obituaries

Theresa Carolyn Paiva, 96, known throughout her life as Daisy, was born to Manuel and Theresa Ornellas September 1, 1918 in Spreckels, CA. She died February 12th, 2015. Daisy was the 8th child of 10. She married Antone (Tony) Paiva in 1937 and they made Fremont their home. They had one son, Bryan, in 1957. Daisy held several jobs as a young woman, but sewing was her life. After several years with Goldmans, she started her own sewing business at home. Daisy is survived by her son, Bryan (Karyne) Paiva , one brother, Albert (Lydia) Ornellas of Newark, and many nieces and nephews. Daisy, you will be missed by all who knew and loved you.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16th, from 5-7pm with a Chapel Service at 6pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 17th, 12pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
