I grew up knowing Dale as my Uncles best friend and a truck drive for my dad. In his later years he became more like family, he was at every holiday, birthday and family dinner bringing Mrs. Fields cookies or chocolates from See’s. He played BIG STAKES bingo with us on Christmas and would be the first one to call someone out if they were cheating, ha! One of my favorite memories I have with Dale was when he, my Uncle and Dad drove up to Tahoe to help me with car trouble, they ended up fixing my car and then we all went to Harvey’s to gamble and eat at the Sage Room, fun times. For a short stint I worked for my Dad at the yard and I often joked to Dale about his lunches, Mrs. Navas put a lot of love into those lunches, I was envious. It makes me happy to know he’s with his Mom and Dad who love him so much. One thing I never told him was how brave he was, it takes real strength to overcome life’s hurdles and pretty much say “F-You” I’m making my own path… Thanks for the laughs. We will ALL miss you :relaxed:
