Obituaries

Daniel was born November 17, 1922 in Cebu, Philippines, and entered into rest on July 8, 2018, at the age of 95. Daniel survived by his loving wife of 76 years Emma B. Tondag. Devoted father to his children Nancy Tondag, Shirley Chew (Raymond), Daniel A. Tondag, Jr. Grandchildren Marci Gallagher (Thomas), Julie Monahan (Darren), Matthew David Tondag (Vicki), Shane P. Tunney and 8 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Trudy Ann, by his sister Caroline Kitong.

Daniel served in the armed forces from 1944 to 1946, worked with Fudenna Brothers, Armoloy, Peterbilt trucks, and retired from Mack trucks in 1981. An avid bowler his whole life, he loved to travel to Reno to play his favorite game keno!!!

Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM, today July 11, 2018 with a Vigil Service at 6:30 PM, Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd. Fremont. A Mass will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 12, 2018, St Edwards Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Ave, Newark. Burial will follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery, 41001 Chapel Way, Fremont.
