Obituary For Daniel Ferreira
It is with great sadness that we share Daniel Ferreira, of Newark, CA, passed away on October 9, 2024. Born on July 25, 1946 in Calheta de Nesquim in Pico, Azores, he was a devoted husband to Rose Ferreira, a loving father to Monica and Michelle, step-father to Candido and Daniel, and a treasured Vovô to all of his grandchildren.
Daniel was hard-working and dedicated to his family. He came to the United States in the early 70s and he spent over 30 years working at Cargill Salt.
Though Daniel may not have been a man of many words, he was known for his quiet strength and enduring qualities such as integrity, kindness and charm. He loved Benfica, the 49ers, traveling with his wife, birds and animals, and sharing a good meal with his family and friends.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Rose, his sister Lucadia, his daughters, Monica and Michelle, their husbands Paul and Brandon, his step-sons Candido and Daniel, and their wives Brandi and Michelle. Daniel was treasured by his grandchildren Vincent, Jacob, Sophia, Alessandra, Savannah, Janessa, Adriana, Roman, Bria, Daniel Jr., Brandon Jr., and Cameron, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 16th from 5-8pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses with Rosary at 6:30pm. Mass will take place on Thursday, October 17th at 10:30am at St. Edward Church in Newark, CA.
We find comfort in knowing that Daniel’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. Descanse em paz querido marido, pai e avô.
