Daniel James Clay, beloved husband, and stepfather, passed away suddenly in Fremont, California, on June 13, 2022. He was born on September 27, 1977, in Saratoga Springs, New York, to Larry and Suzanne (Burdick) Clay who adored their youngest child. Dan was raised in San Jose, California. As a teenager, Dan moved to Lodi, California and graduated from Tokay High School in 1995. After high school, Dan returned to his childhood home and attended San Jose State University. He was a brother in Beta Theta Pi and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Information Systems in 2000. Dan met Marisa (Kihlthau) in 1999. They started dating in the summer of 2006, and the two married on June 7, 2009, surrounded by their closest family and friends. On that same day, Dan gained a daughter, Lindsay. They lived together in Fremont, California. Dan worked as an accountant for over 20 years. Dan lives in the hearts of his wife Marisa and his stepdaughter Lindsay of Fremont, mother Suzanne, and siblings Michelle and David. Dan joins his father, Larry, who predeceased him. Funeral will be held Wednesday, June 29, at 10:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont and livestream will be available. Burial will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, California.
