Obituary For David Anthony Pruneda

David Pruneda passed away during the early morning of January 1st with family surrounding him. David was the beloved son of Richard and Josie Pruneda; dear brother to Richard Pruneda Jr. and Raymond Pruneda; cherished uncle to Jessenia Pruneda and Ellena Pruneda. He is survived by his daughter Melina Pruneda and fiancÃ©e Janelle Manley.

David grew up in Fremont, California and was recognized as "very generous with a heart of gold.” He was a man of many passions including his love for the Oakland Raiders and enjoyed spending time with family. He was a dedicated employee at Ahern Rentals in San Francisco. David’s bright, optimistic, cheerful personality was adored by many and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate David’s life. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8th, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C Street, Union City, CA 94587. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 9th, 1pm at the church. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

David was a part of our lives for three years and will be sadly missed. He brought wherever he was, love, laughter, kindness, warmth and we loved him very much. I'm especially grateful for him loving my daughter, Janelle. They loved each other so much. I never had a son in law but, We always wanted David to be ours. He always will be that in our hearts. We love David.

I only met David a couple of times and he was either doing the BBQ or laughing! He just seemed to be a guy you knew for ever! He was so wonderful to my niece Janelle and this makes him a hero in my eyes! He will be deeply missed by all! My heart goes out to Janelle her family and Davids family. I have many memories when our children where little and David always want the kids to spend the nite. My children Finley did and they always played and always remember David would call my oldest Joey instead of Joseph he the only one that could get away with that, ,He had a way with his cutest smile,,
