Obituaries

David Charles Carr came into the world on October 2, 1963, in Oakland, CA, the sixth child and second son of J. Douglas and Joan White Carr, and departed this mortal existence, incident to kidney failure, at home with family on June 19, 2015.

Though he physically grew to be a man, David’s mind and heart remained a child. His twinkling blue eyes, crooked grin, and child-like innocence and faith personified the truth of the Savior’s teaching regarding all children, “...for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 19:14). To know David was often to catch a glimpse of that heaven.

David was predeceased by his father, Douglas, and is survived by his mother, Joan, and his siblings Deborah (Bruce) Evans; Julie (Brian) Smith; Diane (Jeff) Bates; John (Terri) Carr; Renee (Greg) LeCheminant; Stephen (Kathy) Carr; and Christine (Kent) Anderson. Uncle Dave also left behind 39 nieces and nephews and 57 great-nieces and nephews.

A viewing for David will be held Friday, June 26th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd; with funeral services on Saturday, June 27th, at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 38134 Temple Way in Fremont.
