Obituary For David P. Green

David P. Green, 74, of Fremont, California, passed away on June 19, 2024, surrounded by family. David was born on June 8, 1950, to Betty and Richard Green in Canton, Ohio.
David grew up in North Canton, and graduated from Hoover High School in 1968. He went on to attend Ohio State University for two years, concentrating on Art.

David worked as an auto body painter for 40 years; during this time, he owned his own business, Import Autobody Service, for a number of years. He was known for his meticulousness and quality craftsmanship.

In 1969, David made one of many adventurous hitchhiking trips across the country and met his future wife, Joyce. They married on May 25, 1979, and together had three children: Michele, Melissa, and Jonathan. He was a hardworking husband and dedicated father who enjoyed fishing, camping, and any creative projects his children would bring home from school.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, his three children Michele (Chris), Melissa (Michael), and Jonathan (Kasey), his grandchildren Marlowe, Zephyr, and Esme, and his siblings Cathy, Daniel, Colleen, Maureen, and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Richard Green.

David will be remembered for his sense of humor, his elaborate storytelling, and his love and dedication to his family. He will be missed greatly.

The Green Family, Fred and I want to send our condolences to the family. As a young girl Dave and Joyce were our wonderful neighbors and family friends after they moved away. When we were young adults we continued to visit Dave at his shop when in Berkeley. His stories were the best. We will miss him and your family will be in our prayers. Love Angie and Fred
