Deborah Jean Grobman was born on March 29, 1953 in Davenport, Iowa to Georgianna Tappero Grobman and Duane Jay Grobman. She was joined by her sister Dianne in 1954 and her brother Duane (DJ) Grobman, II in 1957.

The Grobman family moved to Southern California in 1957, initially settling in the San Fernando Valley. In 1964 they moved to Tustin in Orange County. Debbie’s love of animals, especially horses, developed at an early age. Debbie was an honor student throughout her schooling and graduated from Foothill High School in Tustin in 1971. She was an active member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church youth group.

Debbie attended UC Davis graduating in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife, Fisheries and Biology. While in college, Debbie worked as a Vet Aide at the Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital at UC Davis. For eight years she worked as a post-graduate research biologist in the Wildlife, Fisheries and Biology Department at UC Davis. Debbie earned a teaching credential in Life Science from CSU Sacramento in 1982. She moved to Milpitas in 1983 in order to take a position as a Math and Science teacher at Mt. Pleasant High School in San Jose. In 1988 Debbie joined the accounting team at A & D Engineering in Milpitas and continued to work there until her passing. In 1987 Debbie joined Christ Community Church in Milpitas. She was an active member and enthusiastic participant and supporter of the music program there.

Debbie moved to the A & J Ranch in Milpitas in 1989. She loved her life there and all of the animals she helped to care for and nurture over the decades.

Debbie loved animals, horseback riding, softball, golf, television, movies, Taco Bell, Costco, music, singing, Pepsi and God (but not in that order). She embodied a vibrant and authentic Christian faith. She was devoted to her work, her horses, her friends and her family. To everyone who came to know Deb she was loving, kind, generous, smart, and joyful.
