Obituary For Dennis Lester McComb

Dennis McComb, 78, of Newark, CA died peacefully, surrounded by his family, including his loving wife Jane, who were married for 52 years, by his side on Sept. 14, 2021.

He was born November 3, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York to Roy and Olga McComb. He had an older brother Ken. Dennis had fond memories of his family and growing up in New York.

Dennis graduated from Ardsley High School in 1960, He earned 1st place in the New York State discus championship in 1960. He attended Farmingdale University before entering the Air Force in 1962-1966 where he was stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines.

Upon being discharged from the Air Force he worked for 37 years at United Airlines as a Machinist at the San Francisco Airport. Dennis enjoyed traveling the world with his family. His favorite place to visit was Kona, Hawaii.

Once retired, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed visiting and working on his cabin in Scotts Valley, where he would show his grandchildren how to fix things and the importance of hard work.

Dennis is survived by his wife Jane, his three children Michael, Denise, and Denis, his daughter-in-laws Roxanne and Renee, along with grandchildren Trent, Alanna, Davin, Drake, Danika, Nathan, Kyle, Kate, and Alex. As well as many close friends.

Friends and loved ones are invited to a service and celebration of life that will be held at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536 on Thursday, September 23rd at 1 pm.
