Obituary For Devidas Nayak

Devidas Vithoba Nayak, 90, passed away in San Jose on Sunday, March 3, at 1:40 PM. He was born September 20, 1922 to Vithoba and Kamakshibai in the town of Kumta in Karnataka, India. He was a graduate of Gibbs High school, Kumta. A devout Hindu, Devidas simply loved the sound of life, touching everybody that he interacted with, and spent his entire career in slide and film distribution for Paramount Pictures and Blaze advertising. His laughter was infectious. His eagerness to help people and make a difference in their lives will be immeasurable.

He leaves behind his 3 grateful sons, Vishwanath of Saratoga, Prakash of Fremont and Prafull of San Jose, 2 daughters-in law, Vaishali and Raji, 5 grand children Sahil, Krisha, Nikhil, Saneil and Rhea, 1 brother Pandurang and 2 sisters Maya and Krishna all of Mumbai, India. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Ashalata Nayak and daughter-in-law Karen (Tina) Nayak.

A celebration of life services followed by cremation will be held on Thursday, March 7th, 10am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, 94536.
