Resident of Fremont for 56 years went over the rainbow peacefully in his sleep at the age of 86.

Born to Joseph A. Medeiros and Anne Medeiros (both deceased) in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 37 years, but together for over 50 years, Patricia Anna Medeiros. His 3 Children: Jolly (Gary), Donnie (Wilhelmine), & Kitty (Duane); his 3 step-daughters, Carol, Diane (Kenny), Susie (Rick); and stepson Rod (1960 - 2000). 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren. 3 sisters: Ethel, Linda, & Lolita. 1 brother Ronald Medeiros & many nephews and nieces.

Donald left Hawaii in 1957 with his first wife Alma Mae Medeiros (married 1951-1966 - deceased 2001) and their 3 children; to start a job in Oakland, CA. He drove truck for Colonial Foods, and when the company sold he went to work for Guarantee Forklift as a parts-man and later a parts manager until retiring at the age of 62.

Donald moved to Fremont in the summer of 1966, where he resided for the rest of his life and met Patricia through their daughters, Jolly and Diane. They were together for over 50 years until his recent death. He loved to spread his love and Aloha to everyone he met, always smiling and kind. Donald loved his wife and family and his many friends. He would help anyone and always willing to give the shirt off his back. He enjoyed his backyard BBQ's, playing horseshoes, and grilling for everyone. He always said "the more the merrier”. He always made sure everyone had enough to eat and drink. Donald also enjoyed his Hawaiian food and Hawaiian music, and loved his native state, the Hawaiian Islands, as well as football, boxing, dancing and traveling.

Donald was always kind, gentle, compassionate, and a patient man. He always said "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all." And he lived by those words.

Donald will be missed by many, but never forgotten.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont.
