We will miss Mrs. Lorenson. We are grateful to have such kind memories of her. Well into her eighties, she was known to climb her ladder to get fruit from her trees to share with friends. She always had kind words for our children…and time and patience to listen to all of their stories. She was a great, thoughtful and kind lady. This spring we will plant a tree in her honor in the yard she took great care of for many years. Love, Ramon and Melissa

Thanks for all the great childhood memories, going over and picking cherries , family parties and spending time talking to me as young boy during our summer visits to your house. Love and miss you Aunt Donna! God Bless you and your family. We on earth are the ones who are sad and miss you but we know you are dancing in Heaven ( and probably making lemon bars )... Love you! Although we only spent time with Aunt Donna as young children when we went to California on vacation, my memories of spending time in her house are warm and loving. We had so much fun there with the whole family and Donna was always kind and loving to us all. Loving thoughts and prayers coming your way from Iowa. I'm sure there's a grand Lorenson reunion going on in Heaven right now.

Going to Aunt Donna's house was always a special event. Her house was always full of wonderful cooking smells and dinner at her house always meant we would have ice cream. She will be missed but always remembered. Ken McLaughlin

I was lucky enough to have called Donna "Aunt Donna". I will always remember her for her love of ice cream. Sometimes when my family visited we'd make home made ice cream, or we'd go to Farrell's ice cream parlor and order "The Zoo". When I was young her family & my family also spent several summers camping at Big Basin which was also a lot of fun. With love & fond memories...Jan (McLaughlin) Shaw

We always loved visiting Aunt Donna. She was kind and generous. She always made us feel welcome. The mounds of ice cream she would serve left a lasting memory. Our family gatherings were always enjoyable whether at her home or camping at Big Basin. Our condolences to Ray, Shirley and Diane. May they be comforted knowing how much joy and love their mother gave to family & friends. Our heartfelt thoughts & prayers to you all. Richard & Terry McLaughlin

She was the best grandma a person could ask for! Always loving, caring and there for you whenever you needed her. She was more than just a grandma to me, was like another mom, and great friend. I love her with all my heart and will miss her more than words can ever say! Knowing she is reunited with my grandpa after a little over 15 years makes me happy. Absolutely AMAZING grandparents!!! <3 Love you always grandma!! Kim, Rick & Hayden

I first met Donna 70 yesrs ago when my father moved the family to California to join my older brother Melvin. Donna and Melvin were married shortly after me moved here. She was a very important part of our family, always there when we needed her. Over the years we played many gaves of pinocl;e and Hand and Foot which became a favorite. I already miss my "big sister" who was always there to give advie when needed and a helping hand! Love, Rosella Lorenson Kerr

Donna's granddaughter Kim is married to my son Rick. I first met Donna when Kim and Rick were dating some 7 years ago. Always a kind word and a heart of gold filled with love is what I remember whenever I think back with found memories of this dear and very special lady. She welcomed my son into the family with open arms and her endless kidness and love toward him was always evident. Rick was blessed and I am so very thankful that Donna was a very special part of my son's life. When Kim and Rick's son Hayden was born last April Donna was overjoyed to have another great grandchild to love. So happy am my that my grandson was able to share special moments with his GreatGrandma Donna over the past nine months. Donna blessed many lives and she will be missed by all those that knew and loved her. Thank you Donna for all you did to enrich every life you touched! You enriched mine. With love, Kathy Luna

Donna married my brother, Melvin in 1944, and was loved by all of us. I was 6 years old when they married, and I got to wear a lovely long dress as their flower girl, quite a change from my usual jeans. Donna was a very special person to all of our large family, making each of us feel special and she was the person to go to when you needed something, be it a hug, a kind word, encouragement, a lemon bar, or a dish of ice cream. All of our lives were much richer and fuller because of Donna. Those wonderful memories and love will be a part of all of us forever. Thank you, dear Donna. Now she is with God, Mel, and many others in our large family and maybe they are getting ready to share a good game of pinochle once again. Love you, Marilyn Marilyn Lorenson Schell

My daughter-in-law is Donna's grandmother. When my son and Kim were dating is when I met her. I immediately connected with her witty sense of humor and positive and loving character. As we got to know each other and share stories I found out her husband and my father worked at Pacific States Steel for years as operating engineers and she knew so may of my relatives. As a young boy I used to play baseball and get into mischief with my friends who lived on Linda Dr. where she lived. I will never forget when she said " Now I remember, you were one of those hooligans"! I laughed so hard I started crying and she laughed too! She will be missed but I know she has gone home and is happy and free. Until we meet again!
