Obituary For Donna Gail Maravilla

Born March 17, 1942 in Tulare, CA and entered into rest on March 15, 2014 in Fremont, CA at the age of 71. Devoted wife of 35 years to Frank Maravilla of Union City, CA. Beloved mother of Kammy Cobarrubia and her husband Tony of Castro Valley, CA, Kathy Zembik and her husband Michael of Hayward, CA, Cindy Lemos of Union City, CA, Nicholas Gorbunoff of Union City, CA, Brigitte Osmera of Lincoln, NE, and Angela Bradke of Lake Geneva, WI. Loving grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 11. She will be greatly missed.

Donna was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Porterville, CA and was a member of the Church of Christ in Fremont, CA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, from 11am-1pm and a Chapel Service will begin at 1pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial to follow at Lone Tree Cemetery in Hayward, CA.

    To Mom, Throughout my life, you taught me lots of things. I believe none more import than Love and Compassion. Your constant non judgemental unconditional love that you shared with everyone in your life, served as an example I continue to strive to achieve.Mom, I miss you, and have a hole that only your memory can fill.     To my Marmmie, A child is blessed when God gives them to their parents. But I was was double blessed because he gave me to you to be my Marmmie. You did not have to be my mama but you took me to be your daughter when you did not have to be. I hope I can become as good of a women you were and as good of a christian you are!Thank you for being my mama. I will miss you all the days of my life till I join you with our lord and savior.

    I would like to express my condolences at this time to your family. The Bible is a great source of encouragement at times like this. A comforting thought is at Revelation 21:3,4, where it states "...And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry be anymore the former things have past away". This scripture gives us hope for the future! You can also find comfort in Acts 24:15 - Death does not end it all. May Jehovah bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time.

    My Sweet Grandma, How I would give anything to hear your sweet voice, feel your gentle touch and see your calming smile that lights up every room just one more time, n tell you how much I love you, how much you've taught me, & how deeply you'll be missed not just by me but by all of those that were lucky enough to have had the pleasurable honor of knowing you.... You have showed me the type of person I hope to become. Words can't explain the empty ness I feel without you around ... Thank you for all that you have been to me all that you will continue to be ...until we meet again my sweet grandma Donna I love you with my all.... God bless you P.S.     We have such wonderful memories of having Bible studies with Frank & Donna and the rest of the gang in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She had such a tender heart and sweet smile and kind disposition. She blessed all of our lives in so many ways. She will be missed! Love, Barney & Linda Cargile
