Obituary For Edward Jamil Srour

Edward Jamil Srour, 73 of Fremont, California entered eternal life on May 20th, 2014. He was born on September 2nd, 1940 in Zahle, Lebanon to parents: Jamil and Azizi Srour. He was married to Hoda Saikaly. He mastered mechanics at an early age. He owned a successful auto repair business in Zahle, Lebanon for 35 years until he moved to Fremont, California to establish a better future for his family. He became a 3rd Degree Master Mason, which he enjoyed and was very proud of. Early in his life Edward suffered multiple heart attacks, but continued to enjoy life despite a frail heart.

He is survived by his wife Hoda Srour of Fremont, CA; son Gus Srour of San Ramon, CA; daughters: Ghada Musselman of Fremont, CA, Jocelyn Cuenca of Lincoln, CA, Dora Grondz of Mountain House, CA, and Gigi Srour TerKeurst of Livermore, CA; sisters: Antoinette Hariz Fahmie of Fremont, CA, and Emilie Moutran of Zahle, Lebanon; brothers: Fouad Srour of Zahle, Lebanon, Emil Srour of Zahle, Lebanon, Maurice Srour of Beirut, Lebanon, and Phillipe Srour of Fremont, CA; and 9 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24th, from 9-10:30am and services will begin at 10:30am at Harbor Light Church, 4760 Thornton Ave., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Harbor Light Church (http://www.harborlight.com/) or to the American Heart Association (http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/).

A Memorial will be held for Edward Srour on Sunday August 3rd, 2014 after the 11 am mass at St. Elias Melkite Greek Catholic Church in San Jose. 4411 Hyland Ave, San Jose. Lunch will be served after the memorial in Fremont, at the home of Ghada Srour Musselman.
