Obituary For Eleazar Manuel Salinas, Jr.
Elezar Manuel Salinas Jr., of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 in Fremont, California at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, Rosalin Salinas, son Christian Aguiar and daughter-in-law Racquel Cariaso.
He was born on September 30, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona to Mary and Eleazar “Charlie” Salinas. He attended Saint Rita School and St. Augustine High School. In his youth, he was an avid baseball and football player and played halfback and quarterback, wearing the #23 for the Augustine Saints during his senior year. He then volunteered and served diligently in the United States Navy on the Dealey-class destroyer escort USS Bauer as a Quartermaster serving as a helmsman and performing ship control maneuvers, navigation and bridge watch duties. He was honorably discharged in 1968.
He went on to complete his master’s in Business Administration. In 1979 he married Rosalin Marie Griffith. Eleazar worked as a District Manager at Nestle and Hershey Chocolate Company and as the Regional West Coast Manager for Peter Paul Cadbury, Inc. He was an avid golf player, enjoyed traveling, and loved good food and great wine, much like his father did when he was alive. He cared for his family and was friends to many individuals. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4-8pm with a Chapel Service at 6pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
