Her menudo & tamales were popular. Friends always wanted her tamales & chile. She welcomed everyone into her home. She loved simple things around her. She loved her garden. She loved her favorite flower the Dahlia, and she loved eating strawberry icecream. Elia Martinez will be greatly missed, but forever in our Hearts.

Grandma was such a wonderful woman and I'am so grateful I was a part of her family, even though it was for a short amount of time I loved her as my own grandma and will deeply miss her. You all are forever in my prayers and like I tell the kids Grandma is in Heaven with GOD and she is an Angel to all of us now. Love you all so much.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I will definately miss her welcoming smile as I walked through the door even though I would only see her time to time she would remember me. I will definately miss her homemade chili and tamales. I remember comming over one time to help make them. Those brief moments and her warm welcoming of her home will ALWAYS be there in my heart.

Joe and family, we will always remember my sister Elia. All the good memories growing up, going on vacations, and celebrating our birthdays together. Even when we would make our tamales for Christmas. Now I know she is in a better place, not suffering pain. She is now resting with God. One thing I know for sure is that if we know Christ as our Savior we will be with him one day. We will be reunited with our loved ones one day forever. Thank you for being a good husband to Elia and a good father to your family. God bless you, we love you, Julie and Tony Castro
