Eliezer ?Eli? Nava was born in Los Angeles, California on October 6, 1944. The 6th child of the founders of the Apostolic Assembly Church organization, Antonio C. Nava and Dolores Nava, Eli is fondly remembered for his love of children, his love of his wife and family, and his love of his church, the Union City Apostolic Church. Eli first moved to the bay area in 1980 and worked at CSU, Hayward from 1986 until he retired in 2001.

Although Eli was very involved in the different ministries of the Union City Apostolic Church, his first love was always children. This love was demonstrated by his work in the Union City Christian Academy from 2002 until he retired a second time in 2010.

Eli is preceded in death by his father Antonio C. Nava, his mother Dolores Nava, his brother Ishmael Nava, and his sister Eunice Garcia.

Eli is surived by his wife Sylvia, sisters Loyda de Leon, Bernice Ares, Drusila Lopez, and Rinna Cedillo, and brother Ruben Nava.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19, at 5pm and a HomeGoing Celebration Service will begin at 6pm all at the Union City Apostolic Church, 33700 Alvarado-Niles Rd., Union City, CA 94587.
