Obituary For Elizabeth A. Rose-Tavares

Elizabeth Ann Rose-Tavares passed away on May 21, 2023.

Elizabeth was born on November 19, 1954. She was born and raised in Newark, CA, and from there attended and graduated from Newark High School in 1972.

Elizabeth had a professional working career throughout her adult life, the latter 30 years of her career and life were spent employed at EloTouch. She has made several close friends over her near 50-year professional career and loved to socialize. Whether it was at a movie theater or featured in Broadway Musicals, she enjoyed watching non-fiction stories. She was excited to go to bingo or to eat at a restaurant with her close friends. Always optimistic despite hardships that came her way, including her diagnosis.

Elizabeth is survived by her son Michael Tavares, her brothers Jim Rose and Richard Rose, and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Predeceased by her husband Armando Tavares.

Due to her experience with malnourishment, Elizabeth made considerable donations to her local food bank so nobody would have to experience the same painful hunger she once endured. To honor her, instead of memorial donations, her family would like donations to be given to anyone/many of your local food banks.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Liz. I have had to call upon her knowledge and support countless times during my career at Raychem and Elo. She stood always ready to help. Liz was an incredible source of knowledge and energy. She has died far too young and will be missed terribly. My thoughts go out to her family at this time of sorrow. Karine Piette, retired Elo Belgium employee.
