Obituary For Esperanza Padilla Romero

Esperanza Padilla Romero was born February 6, 1940 in Nueva Rosita, Mexico and passed away January 1, 2021 in Fremont, CA surrounded by her family. Esperanza was the matriarch of the Romero family, the mother we looked to for advice and approval. Everyone loved her and she loved everyone. Her family and faith were the two most important things to her. She will be greatly missed. Esperanza is survived by her oldest son, Alfredo P. Romero; daughters in law Bernie Romero, Darlene Valdez, and Ana Gimeno; 12 grandchildren (Michelle, Danielle, Joseph, Aaron, Andrew, Adam, Julia, Sabrina, Samantha, Sierra, Bobby, Angelina); 12 great-grandchildren; and her sisters Margarita, Maria, and Adelaida. Although we mourn her loss on Earth, we know there is a Celebration in Heaven as she is reunited with her husband Alfredo S. Romero and sons Roman, Melchor, Bobby, and Danny.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14th 5-8 pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, with Chapel Service at 6 pm.

The Burial will be Friday, January 15th at 2:15 pm at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA.

Please be aware that attendance may be limited due to current public health restrictions. For those who do attend, please wear a mask, keep interactions with the family brief, and maintain your distance throughout the service to keep everyone safe.

The family unfortunately will not be receiving visitors at their home while the shelter-in-place is still in effect. They hope to arrange a celebration of life in the future date when it is safe to gather again.
