  Ethan was a special little boy with a rare disease that was loved dearly, but I think he himself was rare. Not only because of his disease, but his character. His joy, spiritual strength, and bravery is really hard to find in a child with this disease or in anyone. His family's faith is also hard to find and I hope that God will bless his family for all they have done him and their amazing faith and perseverance. He will be missed so, but I am happy that he is finally able to walk, run, and do whatever pleases himself in heaven with God. I love you Ethan and will never forget you!!!!!   For Grace and David - as we get together today to celebrate the life of Ethan, I found this poem that I can just hear Ethan saying to you: "Daddy please don't look so sad, momma please don't cry. Cause I'm in the arms of Jesus, and he sings me lullabies. Please try not to question God, don't think he is unkind. ... Don't think he sent me to you and then changed his mind. You see I'm a special child, I am needed up above. I'm the special gift you gave Him, a product of your love. I'll always be there with you, so watch the sky at night. Look for the brightest star and know that's my halo's brilliant light. You'll see me in the morning frost that mists your window pane. That's me in the summer showers, I'll be dancing in the rain. When you feel a gentle breeze from a gentle wind that blows. Know that it's me planting a kiss upon your nose. When you see a child playing and your heart feels a tug, Don't be sad mommy, that's just me giving your heart a hug. So daddy don't looks so sad and momma please don't cry.   Ethan, our grandnephew, will delight our memories and warm our hearts forever. It was such a delight to hold him ? all 20 inches & 7 lbs in our arms 5 years ago. Instantly he became our rose, living in our heart. From that moment, our hearts followed his smiles, movements, and progresses?? We remember: his warm hand touched our hands to give us a big 5; his sweet kisses pressed on our dog, Biscuit?s nose; his made up singing ?uncle Bob, uncle Bob?.? made us laugh; his ?pretend? upset with arms crossed and eyes sneered won our heart; his tender scolding ?uncle, you missed my 4th birthday reminded us ?Ethan has an elephant memory?; his obsessing with the PLAYMOBIL pirate ship delighted us to buy him more toys. I can feel it because Chloe mei mei and you have something in common - pompe disease. I know everything happen with a reason and only God has the answer and we know he has something better for you in His kingdom. The day Ethan came into this would, I called.. He was stuck in the belly and not able to come out.. I prayed for him The day Ethan was baptized, I was there. He and his mom made it just in time to see me walk down the aisle. That's Ethan's first time seeing a bride and his eyes were bright.. The day I had my wedding banquet, Ethan was there..
