Obituary For Eugenio Zertuche
Entered into rest on February 23, 2012 in Fremont, CA at the age of 75. Devoted husband of 52 years to Josephine Zertuche. Beloved father of Mercedes Zertuche, Dolores Giannini, Eugenio Zertuche, Jr., and Carlos Zertuche. Grandfather of Dionicia, Cecilia, Jacob, Kathleen, Jillian, Emilio, Daniel, Noah, and Lydia. Great-grandfather of Ella. Treasured brother of Antonio Zertuche, Manuel Zertuche, Jr., and Alicia Rodriguez. Dear step-brother of Patricia, Fernando, Irma, Carlos, Maria Teresa, and Juan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Maria B. Martinez, and his brother Jesus Zertuche.
Born August 14, 1936 in Edcouch, TX, Eugenio was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of GCIU. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved working on cars. As a young teenager he participated in Golden Gloves Boxing.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 11, 1pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Eugenio was laid to rest at San Fernando Cemetery II in San Antonio, TX.
