I remember going to my grandma's place (Dora) in San Francisco and seeing Uncle Ray during large family gatherings. He always had a friendly, warm smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. Once when I was a young child (around 3 years old), my brother and I joked with Uncle Ray about jumping up and down on his stomach, treating it like a trampoline. Uncle Ray laughed and played along. This joyful playfulness is how I will remember Uncle Ray- he's someone who enjoyed life in the company of others.
