Obituaries

Flora Evalyn Putler was born on August 20, 1925 in Haskell, Oklahoma to Ollie Ida (Hall) and Lou Smith, and passed away on December 2, 2017 at the Masonic Home in Union City, California. She had one daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Heath, with her first husband, John Edward Nuckolls of Oklahoma Indian Territory. Following John’s death, Flora married James Lee Putler and they had a daughter, Nancy (Bob) Chase. Flora is survived by her husband Jim, her two daughters and eight grandchildren. Flora was a proud member of the Irvington Presbyterian Church in Fremont, California, and throughout her life she enjoyed volunteer work and helping others when- and wherever possible. She was a kind and gentle soul, loved by all who knew her.

There will be a Memorial Service for Flora on January 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Irvington Presbyterian Church in Fremont, California.
