Obituary For Frances L. Yanez

Frances L. Yanez October 4, 1940 - April 17, 2017 Resident of Modesto, CA

She is preceded in death by her parents Eustacio and Inez Lopez. Her brothers Marcellino Lopez, Eustacio Lopez Jr. and Peter Lopez and also her sister Felipa Lopez.

Frances is survived by her 6 children: Veronica Carrillo (Chata) and husband Jack, Mario Yanez (Champ) and wife Margo, Thomas Yanez (Tommy) and Maria, Dominic Yanez and wife Lorie, Victoria Yanez and Phil, and April Yanez and her husband Francisco. Frances is also survived by her brother Eligio Lopez.

She was a loving Grandma to 16 grandchildren: Thomas and his wife Michele, Irene and Ashley, Roseanne and her husband Fabian, Daniel, Damien, Eva, Mario Jr. and his wife Andrea, Amanda and her husband Josef, Analicia, Alessandra and her husband Wade, Dominic Jr., Darian, Desiree and her husband Albert, Francisco Jr., Bianca, and Maritza.

Also, 20 great-grandchildren who called her "Lita" and "Ta". She adored them so much. They brought joy to her life!

Frances will always be remembered for her love and strength! She loved to collect owls and play bingo. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her friendship, warm presence, laughter, and sense of humor will dearly be missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27th, from 5-8pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 28th, 10am at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C St., Union City, CA 94587. Catered reception to follow.
