Francisca Miranda Mendoza (doña Paquita) was born on January 29, 1915 in San Vicente, El Salvador and entered into rest on April 24, 2012 in Fremont at the age of 97. In 1939, she married Antonio Mendoza. After the death of her husband in 1950, she opened her own dressmaking shop in San Salvador. During the 1970?s she taught sewing and manual arts classes in El Salvador. During the last 20 years, she lived in Fremont with her son-in-law and daughter, John and Sylvia Heinke. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her sisters, Ana Cruz Ramírez and Lidia Miranda of San Salvador, four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 1st at 12pm at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 34700 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94555. Inurnment will be at Cementerio General in San Salvador, El Salvador.
