Obituary For Gary Paul Rees
Born on June 11th, 1935 in California, and entered into rest on April 27th, 2017 in Fremont, California at the age of 81. After high school he joined the Navy and served during the Korean conflict. He spent the majority of his career in sales. A highlight was ARROW Fasteners in Hayward that he started with his friends Don Olander and Aaron Andesrson.
In his leisure time he loved to fly and was a licensed pilot. He enjoyed building and flying model planes with his friend Bob Dutra. He loved to travel, fish and spent lots of time at his getaway in Mexico. Predeceased by daughter Amber Rees. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolee Rees of Fremont; children: Lori Rees Mumma of San Ramon, and Paul Rees of Fremont; sister Terry Kay Haynes of Oceanside; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends from over the years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 9th, 11am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.

Paul was a personal friend since 1966 and a former business partner. He was a very generous and loyal person who treated others the way he would like to be treated. His passing has left a void that will not be easy to overcome. Rest well my friend! Sincerely, Don and Sue Olander
