Entered into rest on April 16, 2012 in Fremont at the age of 75. Devoted husband to Patricia Landavazo. Beloved father of Matthew and his wife Lilly, David, Derrick and his wife Veronica, George and his wife Maria, Elaine González and her husband Santiago, Patricia Zerbini and her husband John Moore, Valeria Zerbini and her fiancé Marcello Sanchez, and Liliam. Grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandfather of a few great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Margaret Munoz, Teodore Landavazo, Villa Landavazo, and James Landavazo. Predeceased by his parents Mary and George, Sr.

Born November 13, 1936 in Gallup, NM, George was raised there and came to California with his family when he was 18 years old. He went on to serve our country in the Army from 1959-1961 in Germany when the Berlin Wall went up. When he returned he started working with his father, "Grandpa George", at his concrete business, Landavazo Co. In 1967 George took over the business and took it to a whole new level. He built buildings in San Francisco, hospitals, sports stadiums, and Bart projects. His sons and nephews now run Landavazo Bros., three generations strong. George was always a car enthusiast. He enjoyed collecting classic, custom cars. You could always find him at a car show. George was a member of the Bay Bombs Car Club in Union City. He loved sharing this passion of cars with his friends and family.

I'm thankful I had the chance to work with George and all the great characters he assembled building the business. Pride and humor were custom fit in George's unique personality.

When my dad (Flavio) was stationed at Hamilton AFB near Hayward in the late 50's, I remember all the visits on the weekends. I felt very close to Uncle George and Aunt Mary (my God-parents). I remember a time when I stayed with cousin Georgie when I was on a summer vacation. He was so generous and fun. He was a loyal person, always generous and caring. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all my relatives.

When Paul (your uncle)and Landa moved to their new home in Fremont, you helped put in the patio, so you dropped by to visit. Later in life Landa & I would stop to see you on Mission. We laughed and talked about the old days. REST IN PIECE DEAR FRIEND

I am sorry for your loss. Georgie was my first cousin and I remember when he took over the business. We used to stay at his house (Uncle George and Aunt Mary's home on Mission). It was the concrete gathering place. Lots of beans and tortillas all the time. Rest in peace cousin.
