Obituary For George Medeiros

George Joseph Medeiros was born June 1, 1961 and passed on June 14, 2023 at the age of 62. He was a resident of Livermore, Ca, formally of Union City, Ca. George is survived by wife Tamara Medeiros, daughter Taylor, son Michael, bonus kids Carly Nagle and Fiance Nicolas Funkenstein, and Jessica Rogers, husband Nick, and grandchildren Juliette, Glenna, and Grant Rogers. Parents Jose and Gabriela Medeiros and sister Nelia Medeiros. Brother Jerry Medeiros, wife Christine Medeiros and niece Elizabeth Quadros, husband Daniel Quadros and great-nephews Daniel Jr and Tyler Quadros. Niece Candace Medeiros and spouse Imani Thomas, great-niece Teneille and great-nephew Tatum Thomas. Nephew Jerry Medeiros and spouse Brittany Schaffer, great-nephew Jaxon and great-niece Kaydence. Niece Jordyn Medeiros.

George has worked at United Airlines at San Francisco International Airport as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician SFOMM, Super Bay, Ramp 12, since November 4, 1985. The people he worked with became his second family and he genuinely enjoyed going to work and spending time with his coworkers every day.

George was a collector of many things such as Hot Wheels, Beenie Babies, Budweiser Steins, aluminum cans, and glass bottles. Growing up, he enjoyed working on classic cars, going to car shows, Raider and A’s games, and hanging out at the Great Entertainer.

George loved and valued his family time very much. He stopped at his parents’ house multiple times every week to visit. He would get down on his hands and knees no matter his age to play with his grandkids, nieces and nephew, and great nieces and nephews. George had a great sense of humor and liked to tease any and everyone. He would joke with his nieces on which one was the favorite just to get a rise out of them.

George was selfless and willing to help the people he loved no matter what. He will be the missing piece that we will all always feel.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, from 2-4pm with a Chapel Service starting at 4pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd, Fremont, Ca 94536. A repass will follow at the A.D.E.S Portuguese Hall of Alvarado, 30846 Watkins St., Union City, Ca 94587.

Condolences

I just learned today of George's passing. I was very saddened to hear the news. I worked at United with George, though not very often. Our paths crossed now and again and he always, always, made me laugh. What a funny, kind, and joker he was. I want to add my condolences to his family and yes to his United family as well.

I worked many years with George at United. He was always a mood lifter, as he was a happy person, and loved to joke around. Not to mention a very good worker. Was very sad to hear of his passing. Casey Gunderson

Im very sorry to hear the loss of George. I was lucky to get to work with him as a partner at United Airlines Service Check Crew during the late 80's. We had took a weekend trip to Korea years ago & had a great time. He will be missed great guy! My condolences to the Medeiros Family. Jim Savage
