Obituary For Gladys Hilda Rohrer
Born on October 22nd, 1918 in New York, and entered into rest on October 8th, 2016 in Fremont, California at the age of 97. Survived by her sons, Fred Rohrer (Diana) of Pleasanton, CA, and Tom Rohrer (Ann) of Lafayette, CA; granddaughters Erin Alves (Joe) of Arroyo Grande, CA, and Carrie Rohrer of Tangier, Morocco; and great-grandson Jackson Alves.
No services will be held for Gladys. Inurnment at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan.

I'm going thru my address book to prepare Christmas cards and wanted to send one to Glady. I'm sorry to see that she has passed. Glady watched our two sons when they were very small; Bryan and Nolan. She was a light in our whole family's life bringing joy and adventures for the boys and balm and sage advice for Rob and I. Debra Radford

I met Gladys through Fremont American Association of University Women. We were in a book club together for several years, and sometimes I'd drive her to our meeting place. She was an exceptional person with an active mind and an endearing presence. I was very lucky to have known her and to have spent time with her. My condolences to her family. I also knew Gladys from our AAUW book club. She was a sweet, yet no-nonsense lady, maybe her experience of being a principal shining through. Gladys was the epitome of courage and grace through the adversity of illness and that will be my best memory of her!
