Gloria D. Mason was born on October 26, 1935 to Ruth Carmichael and Clayton Flenoid in Waco, Texas. She was raised by her Grandmother and Grandfather John and Louvenia Carmichael. When she was 12 years of age she moved to Houston, Texas with her mother. She moved to California as a young woman of 19 years old. She was married twice and both husbands Frank Green Jr. and Howard L. Mason proceeded in death. She leaves behind Leonard Green (Pamela), Frank Green III, Timothy Moore, Joseph Butler (Irene), Stephen Mason and JoAnne Butler. She had one Son Stanley Green and one daughter Tina Butler that preceded her in death; she also has a special god daughter Alberdia Williams. She leaves behind Grandchildren; Jonathan, Tiana, Leonard Jr., Isaiah, Kara, Kemmeca, Maynard, Tiffany, Johnathan and Edward Lewis III, she leaves behind sisters Jonny Ruth Cooksey (Fred), Barbara Linsey, Cathy, and Brothers; Brad, Clayton and Harry Flenoid. Gloria leaves to mourn a host of great grandchildren and nieces and numerous relative and friends. Gloria worked for Alameda County in the infectious disease department. Gloria loved Family, and was a true woman of God. She was a mother and friend to many. Gloria Mason was a devout Christian and settled into her Christian home Heart of the Bay of the Christian Center where she worshipped for over 24 years. She was a mother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
